Sarah Lutzky
Sarah Lutzky grew up dancing in Los Angeles, CA. She received the majority of her training from Degas Dance Studio in Encino, CA, where she trained under the artistic direction of Anacia Weiskittel. There, she had the pleasure of receiving training in classical ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, jazz funk, lyrical, musical theater, and hip hop. She furthered her training at pre-professional summer intensives around the country including BodyTraffic, Northwest Dance Project, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and Alvin Ailey. Sarah recently graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in dance, studying under Jeremy Nelson, Betsy Choker, Giada Ferrone, Pamela Pietro, Jolinda Menendez, Cherylyn Lavagnino, Jim Martin, Sean Curran, and Rashaun Mitchell. At NYU, she had the opportunity to work with a variety of New York City based artists such as Dianne Madden, Sidra Bell, Netta Yerushalmy, David Dorfman, Oliver Steele, Jasmine Hearn and Helen Simoneau as well as artists from around the world such as Danielle Agami, Davide Di Pretoro, Judith Sanchez-Ruìz, Meg Stuart, and Sergei Matis. She is now working as an independent artist based in Brooklyn, New York and was a recent recipient of the Eryc Taylor Dance Emerging Choreographers Grant. Sarah is thrilled to be a part of Arsenal Movement Dance Project for her second season with the company.
